Slab has been laid....

My hubby drove past on his way to work Tuesday morning and sent me a text saying slab was being poured, as soon as I collected the kids from childcare we took a drive over to the block (in the dark) to see for ourselves.

Got home and found our SS had emailed us today to advise the slab was poured, our frame would be delivered by the end of the week and that a carpenter was allocated to start our job next week.

Finally things are moving in the right direction for us!!!!!!

I don't have any shots of the slab yet, but here are a few shots we took on the weekend while checking out what they had been up to in the last week.

Looking towards the future kitchen and laundry

The foam tied down in the future garage

Our daughter measuring something (??)

This is the Grandworth 40 by Allcastle homes which is being built the next corner down from us (this is secretly my husbands fav house design, but in the end the quality of Eden Brae Homes won me over!)

We will head out to the block on the weekend to get some slab shots.

Waiting, waiting and oh more waiting......

Took another drive past the block today, still no slab, we have a portaloo and the waffle pod stacked in our future driveway, really can't wait to see the slab go down, then we can really start moving!

Drains have been laid....

Took a drive past our block tonight (in the dark) after collecting the little ones from childcare, some new additions include the EBH sign with our lot number (very exciting!) and looks like the drains have been laid and some of the form work (not sure if that's what it's called?) is in place.

Our Home Builder Bonus passed by on Friday last week, so just waiting now for that all important slab to be laid!

Site fence up....

Went for a drive past the block today (while trying to get my little one to sleep) and noticed they have put the site fence up. Guess we will have to wait for the block to dry out before the slab is poured.

Our Home Builder Bonus expires today (17 June).

Excavation photos...

We just had to go back today and get some shots to document our build, so here are our not so exciting photos of the completed excavation.

Our daughter coming down into the future garage

A view of the drop down into the garage from the side of the block.

Our little area is really coming to life now, we met our back neighbour today (the house in most of our shots) they are owner builders and are hoping to have the house complete in about 3 months as its a weekend/afternoon job for them.

Here is the front of their place, looking good!

Here are some of the other homes coming up around ours.

Another Eden Brae Home.... can't wait til we have a structure!

Let the excavation begin!!!

So relieved to see the excavator on site today, even though the predicted rain has started to fall atleast we have a start on site. Rain, rain go away come again when the house is built!

Hopefully I'll have some photos to post tomorrow, lots of cut happening (our neighbours block had a massive mound of dirt on it! Oops!)

We are pegged and awaiting release to construction!

Site has now been pegged and we have been told we will be released to construction tomorrow (Monday 6 June) I really do hope so but am not entirely confident! Another stuff up with our final colours has not impressed me either, so please EBH give us some good news!
